Welcome to Wabi Sabi Equine, a specialized division of Cloud 9 Performance Horses, was created to give imperfectly beautiful horses a second chance.
We believe a horse does not have to be perfect to be valuable. Some of the horses we work with may have scars, blemishes, conformational faults, maintenance needs, or other imperfections. Others may come from auctions or kill pens and simply need someone willing to look beyond their flaws.
Our goal is to give these horses an opportunity to find the right home and the right person.
We believe in honest representation and transparency. We will openly share what we know about each horse—including their strengths, limitations, history, and needs—so buyers can make informed decisions.

If you know us, you know we’ve taken plenty of gambles—rehabilitating horses, taking on problem horses, and giving chances to horses many would have written off.
We’ve always been known for being brutally honest about the horses we sell and for finding amazing homes for those who need a little extra. That’s the heart of Wabi Sabi: finding the “hard” ones their perfect human.
What Will We Offer?
Everything from companion and kid horses to broke horses, lame horses, problem horses, crooked-legged horses, and everything in between.
Every horse will need something, and we’ll disclose those needs to the best of our knowledge. Pricing will be affordable and largely based on what each horse needs.
Where Do They Come From?
Anywhere—private parties, sale barns, kill pens, and everywhere in between.
We will always be honest about a horse’s history and what we know about them. If you’ve ever wanted to take a chance on a “kill pen horse” but were nervous about the risk, we hope Wabi Sabi can help remove some risk.
